Privacy Policy
Updated 17 April, 2010
So here's our privacy policy, a disclosure of the practices we utilize on Wedeal.com and its subsites. Wedeal.com (the "Site") is run by Wedeal LLC, an Illinois company. In this policy, Wedeal will be referred to as "we" or "us." You -- the user -- will be referred to as the "End User," the "user," or "you."
In short, a privacy policy discloses the kinds of information we gather from you when you interact with the Site. It also tells you what we do with that information.
It's important that you carefully read this policy. Any use of the Site by you shall be construed to mean that you have read, understand, and agree to this policy. You also agree to our Terms of Service. If you don't agree with these two documents, you cannot use the Site or its subsites. Close your browser, or go find something else that's cool on the internet.
THIS POLICY MAY CHANGE. It's up to you to keep up with those changes. We suggest you review both this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service from time time. When we make changes to either document, they take effect immediately. We're not required to directly notify you of these changes. Your continued use of the Site after we've made changes to either policy constitutes your acceptance and acknowledgement of the revised terms.
TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT, AND WHAT WE DO WITH IT
Basically, we collect two kinds of information: personally identifiable information, and non-personally identifiable information.
Personally identifiable information: This is information which identifies you, the End User. We gather this when you do things such as create an account, order a deal or some other product or service from us or one of our partners, post some sort of content to the Site, submit a review or survey, contact us or one of our partners, request information, apply for a job, or sign up for a mailing list or some sort of special offer. This list may not be inclusive.
From time to time, we may ask you to provide certain information, such as that which would be necessary to sign up for a special offer from us or one of our partners. We call these Identification Activities.
When you order a deal or make some purchase from us, we will ask you for more specific information, such as your credit card number, expiration date, authentication codes, and other related info. We may ask your date of birth, telephone number, or zip code. Generally, this information is mandatory to process your transaction.
How do we use this information? Much of it is necessary to provide services to you, such as processing a deal transaction or some other purchase from us or one of our partners. We also use personally identifiable information to customize your experience on the Site, to determine our site's performance, make marketing decisions, and improve our offerings to you. Depending on the nature of the information you provide, we may share this information with third parties. We may post comments made by you regarding the Site or our partners. If you share information with others through this site, we may store that, also. We may contact the other person to deliver whatever information or offers you intended to send.
We also use personally identifiable information to troubleshoot the site, manage your account, resolve disputes, carry out administrative tasks, contact you, enforce our various agreements with you, comply with the law, or cooperate with law enforcement.
Non-personally identifiable information: This is information that does not specifically identify a given End User. This information may include the URL (Uniform Resource Locator, or web address) of the website you visited before and after your visit to our site, the type of browser you use, your operating system, your IP (Internet Protocol) address, your screen resolution, and your geographic location, and your time zone. We (and authorized third parties and advertisers) may automatically collect this information through the use of common internet tools, such as Cookies, web beacons, and pixel tags.
We use non-personally identifiable information to measure the performance of our site, to troubleshoot, analyze trends, gather demographic estimates and information, administrate the Site, comply with the law, and to cooperate with law enforcement. We may also share this information with advertisers and third party service providers to measure the effectiveness of our marketing, advertising, content, programming, and services.

We only share information with a Merchant if you have engaged in an Identification Activity, and then only with the appropriate Merchant. This is an opt-in activity on your part. We disclaim and responsibility or liability for the subsequent actions of the Merchant. When we supply your information to a Merchant, it is for the specific purposes of our agreement with them.
